Hello everyone. Welcome to our Devotional Series that takes place every Tuesday. We post weekly about Christian devotion, walking with the Lord, being strong regardless of circumstances, however on Tuesday we have a devotional focus on scriptures that are theme based.
Armor of God
The Armor of God is referenced in Ephesians 6 and it has a purpose.

God says in Ephesians 6 when putting on the Armor of God that we will be strong in the power of His might, displaying strength against the adversary or foe, the Devil.
He purposely gives you the Armor of God to be fully protected each day. There is purpose in His protocol. Be dressed. Be armed.
The purpose is to be strong and not collapse. No matter what happens, no matter what you face, God is with you. He is Emmanuel.

Put on the Armor of God
Ephesians 6 says how to put on the Full Armor of God. Pray and say the scriptures in Ephesians 6 out loud.
My mother, Betty Mills would pray over our family members and put on the Armor of God out loud.
The purpose of the Armor of God is to protect you, prepare you and clothe you for what you are walking through, to get you through.
Not collapse.
Not give up.
And not be destroyed.
Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” You, be strong in the Lord.
He provides the strength, but you decide to be strong and not to be weak, to be filled with His presence, His power, HIs Godly attributes.

Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Put it on and be prepared to stand, not fall down and lay powerless on the football field of life.
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore put on the full Armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand.”

After you have done everything, stand, don’t lose heart, or be filled with panic, but stand in the strength of the Lord God Almighty. You have His Armor on.
verse 14 “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,”
verse 15 “and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
verse 16 & 17 “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”

Pray out loud and put it on.
God is Preparing You
Looking at this shows us that God is giving us a way to be prepared when the flaming arrows of the evil one come our way. We are armed, protected but also looking and facing what is coming our way. He has given us the ability to extinguish the arrows.
God knows we face opposition.
He has, ahead of time given us what we need. We have to take what He has given us and put it on.

Deuteronomy 31:8, “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you.
He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
Be prepared, be armed with the power of God and prayerfully put it on. Move forward knowing He goes before you.
I Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Psalm 23:4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
II. Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear (God did not put a sickness on you that causes fear and anxiety, that isn’t like God), but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Psalm 27:3, “Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.”
Isaiah 14:3, “It shall come to pass in the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve,”
Be prepared. Be strong.
Let your requests be made known with prayer and supplication (requesting humbly that God would answer). The good news is He says He will answer. (Jeremiah 33:3) He will answer every time.

Trust What God Has Promised
That is a promise from the very lips of God. “Call on me and I will answer you and show you things you don’t know.”
Numbers 23:19, says “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? Or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
He has spoken.
He has promised.
He is not a liar.

We can trust Him, that was He has said will come to pass. Fear is not from Him as we read in His word, so it isn’t from God, and it has no purpose in our lives.
It comes from the Devil. If it is from the Devil then we resist it. We get rid of it.
James 4:7,8 “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
“God’s protocol is for you to submit yourselves to Him. Resist the Devil, command Him to leave, come again towards God, nearer, and He will come towards you. Wash your hands of sin, cleanse your heart of what doesn’t belong there, and be single minded. “

Be prepared.
Dressed in HIs protective gear and to stand.
Pray. Make our supplications and requests with prayer. Know that fear isn’t from Him.
Let your confidence be in the Lord who goes before you. Who is more powerful than the Devil.

This is who we pray to. Pray the Word of God out loud so the enemy is reminded of the power of God. Within us.
The power of God and His Word spoken from our lips.
When you speak scriptures out loud, it causes your thoughts to be redirected to what God says and away from the fearful thoughts.
“Father in Jesus Name we pray over every impossible situation we face. We put on the full armor of God so we are prepared and not exposed to the enemy when He throws arrows our way.

We thank you that by the power of your presence we are strong in you. We are empowered by your Holy Spirit with strength, wisdom and discernment. The entrance of your Word brings light so when we aren’t sure what to do we don’t need to be in the dark because your Word is the light in our situation so we can see what we are facing and what we need to do.
God you are all Powerful and all Glorious and we give you all the Glory and Praise.
We pray all these things in the matchless Name of Jesus, the Name above every Name.”

Amen.
To God Be all The Glory.
