This phrase “I’ve got a good word for you” was spoken to hundreds of thousands of people in the lifetime of Dick and Betty Mills. Now as the next generation of believers who carry the baton of the spoken and written word, we continue to give a good word. God’s word is filled with words of hope, faith and resurrection power of Jesus Christ His Son.
The good word for us as believers is the hope and the saving power of Jesus Christ It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Knowing what happened helps you see what is important now. In this generation.
In the early 50’s Dick Mills said yes to the call of God on his life. Marrying Betty, the two pursued the destiny of God by taking the gospel, the good word to people nationwide and world wide.
It is simple. God has a good plan. The gospel explains that God sent His son, to save the world. Why? The world is in desperate need of a Savior. Jesus Christ is the Savior and through His crucifixion on the cross, He paid for the sins of the world and brought forgiveness to those who come to Him.

Dick and Betty started out with a small car pulling a trailer behind it, visiting churches and speaking all over the United States. They visited and spoke at churches in Cuba on their honeymoon taking the gospel to the people who would listen.
A lifetime of seeking God, memorizing the promises of God’s word Dick felt compelled to give a good word to people.
Job 4:4 says “Your word has kept men on their feet.” Dick and Betty gave life to people by the words they spoke, giving promises and hopeful words to people who needed to hear from God. As the voice of those good words, the ministry carried through many years of speaking and telling the good news.

They successfully passed the baton of the love of Jesus to their family, and to ministers all over the world. Many of these people still have a small piece of paper that says “I’ve got a good word for you.” by Dick and Betty Mills. Betty Mills often handwrite those scripture references that were theme oriented to the people receiving the words.
Dick spent years waking. up early and devoting time to scripture memorization. He would often say he familiarized himself with over 7700 hundred Bible promises. He color coded and marked his Bible for easy referencing when giving scriptures to people during his services.

The reservoir of scriptures in his photographic memory were spirit inspired when ministering to people. He often said when he took their hand, the Holy Spirit would always open his heart and spirit and lead him to the scriptures the people needed. Often a hope filled word, a word that inspired the believer and even unbeliever to press in to more of the presence of God. Those words were a life line to people who just needed to know God was with Him.
