When countries, leaders, financial resources are unstable, we can be anchored in faith. God gives us His Word, and direction how to be anchored. Anchored, steadfast, not easily shaken, holding fast during a storm.
God tells us, that man doesn’t live by bread alone, but man does live by the Words God gives and speaks. (Matthew 4:4) That tells us the answers are in His Word.

We live here and we will face difficulties, but our strength comes from God who anchors us regardless of the tumult of the world. Everything around us may be shaking, but God is giving us HIs Promise that if we hold to Him and His promises, we may see the shaking, but we don’t have to be shaken.
Job 4:4, “Your words have steadied the one who was stumbling
and braced the knees that were buckling.” (Christian Standard Bible)
What we should be able to trust and rely on in this world is often not reliable. In fact, we watch nations that are shaken and some facing collapse.
How do we react or respond? How can scriptures keep us from watching and not being affected?
God gives us a protocol. A game plan of sorts to follow. He doesn’t say we won’t be upset, but He says ‘don’t be soon shaken.’
2 Thessalonians 2:2, “not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.”
This word came to believers after Jesus had been crucified, Christians were being punished and imprisoned. The Christian world was suffering, and non-believers wanted to silence the gospel.
Not being shaken starts with our thoughts and our minds. What we fill it becomes our thinking. If we focus on worrisome problems, we are shaken. Then when we focus on those worrisome thoughts, those thoughts are spoken. What we speak often is followed by emotions. It all ties together.
Because God who is immovable is our God. He alone is our anchor regardless of storms, the ocean waves and the tumult of the world.
We are anchored in Him. An anchor is not shaken or upset at the storm or the waves.
Start today putting God’s Word inside you. It will remind you of what God says. God isn’t changing even though the world is. God will give you hope even when things seem hopeless. Even when you are having to pick up the pieces and start over again.
