God heals. God’s Healing power is very real. How do we know He heals?
‘His Word says He does.
Exodus 15:26, “He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
His Name Jehovah Rapha, is a name for God that means “the Lord who heals”. The name is a combination of the Hebrew words Jehova, which means “existing one” or “Lord” and rapha, which means “to heal”, “to make complete”, or “to make whole. (gotquestions.org)
The good news is God heals regardless of what was introduced into our fallen world. He didn’t change because the world changed. His purpose and plan have not changed. God knew we needed a Savior. Not only did Jesus come to save He came to heal, and there is healing In His Name.
‘Isaiah 53 prophesies the coming Messiah who is Jesus. But what is also prophesied was not only salvation and comfort but healing.
Isaiah 53:3, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
By the stripes, the punishment Jesus endured, we can now have healing.
It was prophesied.
It happened.
It has already been done.
If you ask ‘why am I not healed?’ Or Why did my mother pass away when I prayed for her to be healed?’
Those are valid questions. There may be an answer and there may not be an answer. Let me tell you what I’ve found in serving the Lord 60 years-
God isn’t a liar, and what HE has promised in His Word is true. If He promised healing then that is what we pray for.
I also believe there are a lot of moving parts, things we don’t understand, or circumstances beyond our control.
God is willing to heal. He isn’t punishing when healing doesn’t come.
We can always pray more. Fast and ask for wisdom how to handle a difficult diagnosis. But we can always trust God and His promises.
If there is unforgiveness, then forgiveness needs to happen. We know that there can be a stop to answered prayers. Get rid of strife. It is poison to a persons soul.
Isaiah 59;1,2, “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”
This is direction for us to get as far away from strife and sin as we possibly can.
If you have done what you know to do, the next thing is to ask God to show you how to pray, how to believe for healing and how to proceed.
My husband and I have prayed when facing sickness, and illness, for healing but also to see what we need to see, find out what we need to find out, so that we can do what we need to do.
I remember the first time I saw someone healed in one of my father’s services my mouth dropped open and I sat back and watched an amazing site unfold before me.
I was a young girl sitting in church next to my mother, Betty Mills. My father Dick Mills was ministering to people, praying, speaking healing and coming against sickness.
He knew God healed. He also knew that Satan made people sick.

God’s Healing Power Vs. Sickness
There was a complete awareness of the sorrow that sickness and disease brought and he knew by God’s Word that those things weren’t from God. God’s healing power was at work and was opposite sickness.
My father would pray for people. Often people would line up at the front of the church. There were so many of them that needed a touch from God.
Jeremiah 30:17, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord,”
One person in particular had a large hair piece on her head. When he prayed, touching her forehead, her hair piece flew off! (As a small child, this was so funny to me.) My parents both smiled, and my dad kept praying.
At the exact same time, she said she was healed and began jumping up and down in excitement. My parents both knew God was healing her.
I had never seen anything like this, so of course I looked to my mother and she smiled down at me and said “Her heart is very happy because God has touched her, she felt it, and she is healed.”
When we study healing scriptures, we begin to not only read the scriptures but see that It is God’s plan to heal. Sickness wasn’t from Him. It originated in the garden when sin was introduced.
My father often prayed for the sick to be healed. And they were healed.
He prayed for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. And we know there is no sickness or disease in Heaven.

HEALING – God’s Varied Methods of Healing.
My father wrote a small list on the methods of healing in the Bible. You will love all the different ways God heals.

God heals and by His stripes we are healed.
God heals. Isaiah 53:5 says “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
So when faced will illness, sickness or disease, we pray and thank God for His promises. That He suffered and died not only for our salvation but also for our healing. We pray and come against sickness and any way that the enemy has caused suffering and symptoms in our life.
We pray for God’s Word to be

God Heals
Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” (KJV)
Psalm 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (KJV)

Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD;” (KJV)
Exodus 15:26 “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

Scriptures compiled by Dick Mills and Debbie (Mills) Booth

Think for a moment. The promises of God come as words. From His mouth, the powerful words that spoke the heavens and the earth into being are powerful.
God Promises Healing
He also spoke the Words and promised us healing. Psalm 107:20 “He sent (an active speaking process) His Words and healed them of ALL their diseases…

When we speak, and we speak from HIs Words, then power and healing come from those words. We are following His plan, His purpose and His protocol.
Powerful Words of God
It all starts with words. Our mouths, our words, but we are speaking powerful words, not any words. And when aligning our words with the Words of God something powerful happens!
Words breathed from the mouth of God.

He says He will answer when He is called upon. He promises to show you things you don’t know.

“God is a God of reciprocity. We call to Him, He answers. We seek Him (Matthew 6:33) we find Him. We seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and everything we need, He knows and He will provide. ” Dick. Mills
We will believe with you for God’s healing in your life. He has promised it in His Word. We stand on His Word. We know that healing comes from Him.
To God Be All The Glory,
Debbie (Mills) Booth
