Faith Building & God’s Word

Dick Mills founded DMM to encourage and strengthen Christians all over the world with his unique gift of prophetic Scripture and Bible study. He gave words of wisdom, knowledge and encouragement to over 1,000,000 people in his lifetime. These words were prophetic, and scripturally based and proved to be a powerful combination. Lifting individual’s Christian faith with his anointed personal, powerful, and experiential ministry. We humbly continue the work of personal ministry and Bible study.

Vision & Goals

Our vision is to provide a way for believers to see, hear, read and run with the prophetic and Holy Spirit inspired Word of God. To stay on their feet (Job 4:4), stay filled and change the earth till the return of our Savior. We believe our implementing our vision will produce our God given goal of encouraging, strengthening and helping build the body of Christ into strong warriors.

Cultivating a daily devotional life plan is similar to planning and buying groceries. You know you’ll need to eat in the coming days, so you plan a time, make a list, go to the grocery store and purchase what you need.

Think about this. If you had a teenager, who said they were hungry. You would say, “ok go check the refrigerator, the cabinets, and look for something to eat. I just bought groceries.”

It seems plausible that the teenager would go look, find the food, eat and get filled. It is most likely that the parent paid and put the food there so that when the teenager or family member became hungry, the supply of food was there. Give or take a few leftovers.

Devotions are very similar in this sense. You know that you are a believer, and you need God in your life. You pray, you ask Him to help you and to meet your needs. During the week you may go to church, listen to a podcast, worship music, faith filled teaching and read your Bible. It takes time, planning and determination to do these things.

It is purposeful. Food fills you up. Time with God fills you up.

If you don’t eat, you get hungry, then cranky and then irritable.

I think devotions in simple terms is the refrigerator. It is the means to finding what you need inside. Praying – talking to God, hearing from Him, filling up with His presence and power. Reading the Bible – finding out what He says, has said, which shows His plan.

All these things lead towards a believer being filled up with God kind of food.

You make a choice to go to the refrigerator and open up the door, knowing what you need for food is inside.

Deuteronomy 8:3, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

The good news is God has what you need inside His Word. It is all there. The answers, the help, direction, wisdom, healing. All of it.

I Thessalonians 2:13, “The Word of God is at work in you who believe.” (NIV)

Psalm 119:130, “The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.”

Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Did you know that speaking God’s Word has the effect of dynamite on a situation or problem that is immovable? John 1:1 again says “and the Word was God.”

I believe the simplest way to hear from God and get a good word for every day is through devotions. Setting aside time to meet with God. Praying. Worshipping, praising, giving whole hearted devotion to the one who has created us and given us life.

An invitation to explore how daily devotions and a focus on God’s Word can actually give you direction, open your eyes to His purpose and will for you, and enrich your life.

God’s Word is for us to study, read, trust and believe. I’ve created this short ebook available HERE to help you cultivate a daily routine. Daily devotions are a key anchor to every believer’s life. Holding you steady because of faith in God’s Word and His promises.

Psalm 147:15, “He sends out His command to the earth. His Word runs swiftly.”

(Scriptures compiled by Dick Mills and Debbie (Mills) Booth

Change your days in a simple way if you haven’t already. Invite God into your day. Ask Jesus to guide and lead you. As He leads you will walk out your days differently.

When you fill your heart, soul, mind and thoughts with God Words, you will begin to speak them, think on them, dwell on them and be strengthened by them.

There is purpose in His Words.

We live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
