Introduction
Break, breaking, breakthrough – God’s answers before, during and after.(Excerpt)
As a young teenager I remember walking into my home after school. I heard my mother weeping and knew something had happened. Once inside, my parents began telling me a story of very close friends, a broken relationship and broken trust. There had been a horrific collapse of fidelity and trust in their marriage.
The shrapnel of their poor choices had left my parents wounded. Heartbroken and overwhelmed, my mother, shattered, shared the painful details with me.
The collapse was not only in their marriage but in their faith as a result. The husband had walked away from his wife and children. As a result the couple had walked away from their relationship with the Lord.
Both of my parents had suffered loss before, but this felt different. My mother was sweet, feisty and determined in her faith as well as her relationship with me. Strong, sweet, and quietly fierce. My father was an anchor in our lives, holding steady regardless of the strength of the storm.
A pivotal moment happened though after my mother told me the story. Wiping tears away she stood up and looked at me. She stared and began walking towards me. Firmly resolute in her choice of words, she said with a shaky voice, “your father and I” pausing, “we will never quit, we will never give up or walk away, we will always live for Jesus.” She looked back at my father for an endless moment and he nodded in agreement.
My dad looked at me with a look that forged something inside me. My mother kept coming toward me and there was no trace of disillusionment in her eyes.
She looked at me with tear filled eyes, now inches away from my face and said “say it.”
I looked at my mother and said, “we will never quit, we will never give up, we will never walk away. We will always live for Jesus.” She stepped closer and quietly whispered to me, “say it again.”
I said it again and knew that that moment changed me. Changed my faith forever.
“I will never quit, I will never give up and I will never walk away, I will always live for Jesus.”
This became a life statement for me. A life decision made from the rubble of sorrow has continually reminded me why I live for Jesus and shaped every aspect of my life.

It also forged a resilience within me that kept my head above water while navigating my own life.
This book is to give you hope with direction. That you too can be resilient while praying and waiting for your own breakthrough. Direction and insight from God’s Word gives each of us a framework in which we can build our lives.
I believe we can take the Bible and the things God has told the people in the Bible and use them in our own lives.
His Word is similar to a coach’s playbook—how to play, how to be prepared when the other team comes against you, and how to reach the goal.
I Corinthians 10:11, “Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition,”
Rather than be overwhelmed at what you are facing, God gives direction and insight from His Word how to proceed. This is to help you be prepared, watchful, and expectant instead of unprepared, confused, and bewildered.
We can take what happened to people in the Bible and learn from them.
The stories show what to do during the waiting period, revealing that breakthrough is a process as well as an end result. The good news is that God is “Emmanuel, God with us.” (Merriam-Webster).
He is with you before the breakthrough, during the break, the breaking, and when the answers come. There is hope

This is an excerpt from my new book break breaking breakthrough. My story starts with absolute collapse that our family went through that forged something deep within me as well as my parents. That same strength can be forged in you today.
I share things what God did within me that God can do for you. I share scriptures that empowered me that can empower you, words that God spoke to me that He can speak to you.
There’s no need to run on empty and no need to collapse when God‘s power, His goodness, His presence, His compassions never fail.
His mercies are new every morning.
Lamentations 3:22-24, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
