Faith Building & God’s Word

Dick Mills founded DMM to encourage and strengthen Christians all over the world with his unique gift of prophetic Scripture and Bible study. He gave words of wisdom, knowledge and encouragement to over 1,000,000 people in his lifetime. These words were prophetic, and scripturally based and proved to be a powerful combination. Lifting individual’s Christian faith with his anointed personal, powerful, and experiential ministry. We humbly continue the work of personal ministry and Bible study.

Vision & Goals

Our vision is to provide a way for believers to see, hear, read and run with the prophetic and Holy Spirit inspired Word of God. To stay on their feet (Job 4:4), stay filled and change the earth till the return of our Savior. We believe our implementing our vision will produce our God given goal of encouraging, strengthening and helping build the body of Christ into strong warriors.

Be steadfast, not easily shaken or agitated.

Think about this for a moment. Faith comes by hearing. So does fear. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Fear comes by hearing any information that causes upset, anxiety, depression and hopelessness.

What are you listening to and filling yourself up with?

When we listen to the news I often walk out of the room and back in and then out again.

“I can’t believe they did that!”

“He said what?”

Then if I missed part of the news story I will ask my husband “what did they just say, who did what, who got caught?”

Steadfast?

How can you be steadfast? Really, what does that look like and how is it possible?

If you watch the news for 5 minutes, you may feel frustrated even angry. If a friend or family member discusses a hurricane, tornado, or earthquake and the destruction it caused, you get very upset. All of those things are valid reasons for upset and anxiety. There is damage that has been done.

In God’s Word we are given instructions how to handle emotional upset, catastrophes especially in rough seasons and difficult situations. It is not a matter of getting upset, it is managing the upset, the damage and then how it can be handled.

We aren’t meant to disregard rough circumstances or rough seasons, we are meant to hold fast to the anchor of God, His Presence and His Word.

In a storm the first thing to do is to get to safety. Get out of the rain, away from a torrential storm. Do not stay in a dangerous place. Get out of immediate danger.

My husband and I moved from earthquake territory to tornado territory.

In an earthquake you often hear it before the shaking begins. Windows rattle, pictures on the wall start tapping on the wall and then the shaking begins. You get under a table, doorway, sturdy foundational area to get to safety.

But in a tornado you need to get out of the rain, the lightning and hail. If you don’t you could get injured.

We have learned quickly to not only get out of the storm but to get in a storm shelter. If it is possible, you do this. If not a shelter you climb in the bathtub with a mattress or covering to protect you from falling and flying debris.

It is common sense. You don’t stand there and pray and hope for the best. You pray WHILE you are taking action.

Even after the damage has occurred, you need God and His wisdom to navigate terrible circumstances.

God is Emmanuel, He is God with you. He has not left you.

God’s direction is to go to Him promptly (action). He brings light to darkness, answers to questions, help and direction. Praying is the quickest way to go to the Lord and to get help.
“Men ought to pray and not to faint.” Luke 18:1 (NKJV)

Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and show you things you don’t know.”

God helps you during the storm. You still have to call the insurance company, get the cracks in the wall and foundation fixed, but God will help you.

*Be sure to see this recent POST “Don’t be Anxious”.

Psalm 73:26, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Psalm 62:2, “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.”

Gods Word and His promises are meant to be in you. The presence of God is your anchor when you are going through difficult circumstances. Holding you in place during the storm.

Isaiah 41;10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

God’s Promises are trustworthy.

When you are filled with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, you will be empowered instead of powerless.

Knowing the promises in His Word gives you faith in Who He is. There is a turning towards His Presence rather than being shaken. Turning towards Him rather than turning against Him brings His presence towards us.

As a believer you have all that God has given you and provided you. His presence is in His Word according to John 1:1. When you pray, using the scriptures in the Bible as your foundation for your prayer, you are bringing all of God into the moment.

“God I thank you that you are my strength and salvation.(Psalm 41:10, Psalm 27:1) You are not surprised by what is happening right now, but God I need your wisdom, the power of your Holy Spirit on the inside of me. Lord you promised that with you. nothing is impossible, and that with you ‘I am more than a conqueror.’ You also said that ‘when I call on you, you will answer me and how me what I need to know, and what I need to do.’ (Jeremiah 33:3) God because of your Word and because of your promises I am steadfast.”

This is praying God’s Words. Using scriptures in your prayers. The Words of God are powerful. (Hebrews 4:12). Praying those scriptures makes our prayers powerful.

Steadfast.
